- Releases more fluoride than conventional fluoride varnishes over a 24 hr period
- Provides a barrier, that remains on the tooth for 6 months
- Releases fluoride, calcium and phosphate
- Treatment of exposed root surface sensitivity
- Site specific protective coating for newly erupted teeth and other tooth surfaces (e.g. around orthodontic and acid erosion) including non-cavitated lesions
- Colour-change technology to visualise placement
- Contains and releases fluoride
- Long-lasting protection against caries¹

- Convenient direct delivery syringe for easy application
- Low viscosity to flow easily into pit and fissures
- Bonds to enamel
- The teeth must be sufficiently erupted so that a dry zone can be created and maintained. The pits and fissures should be deep
- The change in colour is not an indicator of completed curing. The recommended duration of light curing (20 seconds) must be respected

12248 Clinpro™ XT Varnish
Clinpro™ XT Varnish Durable Fluoride-Releasing Coating
1 Clicker Dispenser |
Tooth DesensitiserClinpro™ XT Varnish Durable Fluoride-Releasing Coating provides immediate sensitivity relief while offering additional benefits, which include: Introducing the protective barrier that immediately relieves sensitivity, delivers fluoride and last six months. Releases more fluoride than conventional fluoride varnishes over a 24 hr period Clinpro XT Varnish Durable Fluoride-Releasing Coating is a site-specific, light-cured durable coating that forms an immediate layer of protection to relieve dentinal hypersensitivity. In the first 24 hours, Clinpro XT Varnish releases more Fluoride than a conventional fluoride varnish. Provides a barrier, that remains on the tooth for 6 months The "XT" in the product name is intended to reflect the products properties as an "extended varnish", having long-term durability with fluoride release. Clinpro XT Varnish is recharged every time the patient brushes with fluoride toothpaste. Your patients not only get the protection of a physical barrier, they get the benefit of long-term fluoride delivery. Releases fluoride, calcium and phosphate Clinpro XT Varnish is a resin-modified glass ionomer that contains and releases fluoride, calcium and phosphate. This makes it unique versus other in-office desensitizers. Clinpro™ XT Varnish is indicated for: Clinpro XT Varnish is a light cured resin modified glass ionomer (RMGI) material in a two-part liquid/paste system. The liquid/paste materials that embody Clinpro XT Varnish are contained in the Clicker™ Dispensing System manufactured by 3M ESPE. Clinpro XT Varnish’s dispensing system provides simultaneous dispensing of each component for a consistent ratio. The paste contains a radiopaque fluoro-aluminosilicate glass, whilst the liquid a modified polyalkenoic acid. This technology was first commercialised in 3M ESPE’s Vitrebond™ Glass Ionomer Liner/Base. The patented resin modified glass ionomer chemistry in Clinpro™ XT Varnish provides a burst of fluoride released during the first several days after placement, as well as long term sustained fluoride release over the life of the coating. The fluoride resides in fluoroaluminosilicate glass particles: reaction at the surface provides the immediate release, while the bulk provides a reservoir of fluoride for sustained release. Clinpro™ XT Varnish also contains calcium glycerophosphate, which can provide calcium and phosphate release, and whose benefit in oral care has been demonstrated. The calcium glycerophosphate in Clinpro XT Varnish provides a continual release of calcium and phosphate over the life of the coating.

Fissure Sealant3M™ ESPE™ Clinpro™ Sealant is a light-cure, low viscosity, fluoride releasing pit and fissure sealant with a unique patented colour change feature. Clinpro™ sealant is pink when applied to the tooth surface, and changes to an opaque off white colour when exposed to light. The pink color helps the dental professional with the accuracy and amount of material placed during the sealant procedure. Colour change technology for ease of use Early prevention of caries in enamel pit an fissures Studies have shows that dental sealants can play a significant role in reducing dental decay¹.Another study showed that with the help of fissure sealants dental decay can be reduced in high risk young children² References ¹American Dental Association, 2005 (Fluoridation Facts) ²Weintraub, J (2001).
